Vehicle Code section 42000

Unless a different penalty is expressly provided by this code, every person convicted of a felony for a violation of any provision of this code shall be punished by a fine of not less than one thousand dollars ($1,000) or more than ten thousand dollars ($10,000), or by imprisonment pursuant to subdivision (a) of Section 1170 of the Penal Code, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
