The bureau shall devise protocols that each licensing authority shall implement to ensure compliance with state laws and regulations related to environmental impacts, natural resource protection, water quality, water supply, hazardous materials, and pesticide use in accordance with regulations, including but not limited to, the California Environmental Quality Act (Division 13 (commencing with Section 21000) of the Public Resources Code), the California Endangered Species Act (Chapter 1.5 (commencing with Section 2050) of Division 3 of the Fish and Game Code), lake or streambed alteration agreements (Chapter 6 (commencing with Section 1600) of Division 2 of the Fish and Game Code), the Clean Water Act (33 U.S.C. Sec. 1251 et seq.), the Porter-Cologne Water Quality Control Act (Division 7 (commencing with Section 13000) of the
Water Code), timber production zones, wastewater discharge requirements, and any permit or right necessary to divert water.
