Welfare and Institutions Code section 14133.85

(a)

(1)Except as otherwise provided in this subdivision, prior authorization shall not be required for hospice services.

(2)

Paragraph (1) shall not apply to any admission which violates federal law.

(b)

Prior authorization shall be required for inpatient hospice services.
