Education Code section 44228

To assist in approving teacher education programs, the commission may appoint panels of educators, including public school classroom teachers, and lay persons to serve as members of visiting teams to institutions and school districts having such programs. The provisions of Section 44215, 44216, and 44217 shall be applicable to such panels of educators.
