(a)
Except as otherwise provided in this section or in Sections 1358.7, 1358.12, 1358.13, 1358.16, and 1358.21, this article shall apply to all group and individual Medicare supplement contracts advertised, solicited, or issued for delivery in this state on or after January 1, 2001.(b)
This article shall not apply to a contract of one or more employers or labor organizations, or of the trustees of a fund established by one or more employers or labor organizations, or combination thereof, for employees or former employees, or a combination thereof, or for members or former members, or a combination thereof, of the labor organizations.(c)
This article shall not apply to Medicare supplement policies or certificates subject to Article 6 (commencing with Section 10192.1) of Chapter 1 of Part 1 of Division 2 of the Insurance Code.
