CA Health & Safety Code Section 1349.1

A health care service plan which satisfies both of the following criteria is exempt from Section 1349:

(a)

Provides only emergency ambulance services or advanced life support services, as defined by Section 1797.52, or both.

(b)

Is operated by the State of California, any city, county, city and county, public district, or public authority.
