CA Educ Code Section 48204.5

(a)

The Legislature finds that school districts that are adjacent to the international border, because of their geographic position, face unique circumstances in conducting the verification of a pupil’s residency.

(b)

The Legislature declares that international border school districts may need to employ certain efforts to verify residency.
