Business and Professions Code section 4875.2

If, upon completion of an investigation, the executive officer has probable cause to believe that a veterinarian, a registered veterinary technician, or an unlicensed person has violated provisions of this chapter, the executive officer may issue a citation to the veterinarian, registered veterinary technician, or unlicensed person, in accordance with Section 125.9 and 148 and the board’s regulations established pursuant thereto.
