N.Y. Public Health Law Section 1602
Definition


When used in this article, the term “pesticide” means any substance or mixture of substances intended for preventing, destroying, repelling, or mitigating any insect, rodent, fungi, weeds, or other forms of plant or animal life or viruses, except viruses on or in living man or animals.
