Water Code section 60155

The board shall designate a depository or depositories to have the custody of the funds of the district, all of which depositories shall give security sufficient to secure the district against possible loss, and who shall pay the warrants drawn by the treasurer for demands against the district under such rules as the directors may prescribe.
