Penal Code section 626.92

Section 626.9 does not apply to or affect any of the following:

(a)

A security guard authorized to openly carry an unloaded handgun pursuant to Chapter 6 (commencing with Section 26350) of Division 5 of Title 4 of Part 6.

(b)

An honorably retired peace officer authorized to openly carry an unloaded handgun pursuant to Section 26361.

(c)

A security guard authorized to openly carry an unloaded firearm that is not a handgun pursuant to Chapter 7 (commencing with Section 26400) of Division 5 of Title 4 of Part 6.

(d)

An honorably retired peace officer authorized to openly carry an unloaded firearm that is not a handgun pursuant to Section 26405.
