Health and Safety Code section 7010.7

(a)

“Scattering” means the authorized dispersal of cremated remains or hydrolyzed human remains at sea, in other areas of the state, or commingling in a defined area within a dedicated cemetery, in accordance with this part.

(b)

This section shall become operative on July 1, 2020.
