Health and Safety Code section 50475

(a)

The Office of State Audits and Evaluation may conduct periodic audits to ensure that the annual allocation to individual programs is awarded by the department in a timely fashion consistent with the requirements of this chapter.

(b)

The department shall reimburse the Office of State Audits and Evaluation for the actual costs of audit work performed pursuant to this section.
