Health and Safety Code section 40809

(a)

The office of the county counsel may represent both the district and the hearing board on a matter relating to a hearing before the hearing board as long as the same individual attorney does not represent both the district and the hearing board.

(b)

This section does not apply to the bay district or the south coast district.
