Health and Safety Code section 36121

In carrying out the provisions of this chapter, the coordinator, in cooperation with the appropriate state officials, shall review the federal grant-in-aid programs and the available experimental and demonstration project funds to determine the most effective use which can be made of such funds in achieving the goals of state participation in the Model Cities program.
