Health and Safety Code section 121921

No person shall sell, give away, or let for hire any guard, attack, or sentry dog unless the following requirements have been met:

(a)

The dog has been immunized against distemper and rabies.

(b)

A certificate of rabies vaccination has been issued by a licensed veterinarian and is current and valid.
