Health and Safety Code section 102440

Notwithstanding Section 102425 and 102430, the department may transmit to the Social Security Administration the information necessary to issue a social security number to a child in a case where the child’s parent has requested the issuance pursuant to paragraph (14) of subdivision (b) of Section 102425.
