Fish and Game Code section 5987

The department shall not pay one-half of the expense of the construction and installation of any screen as provided in Section 5981, 5983, and 5984 to any person engaged in producing, generating, transmitting, delivering, or furnishing electricity for light, heat or power.

If this section is for any reason held to be unconstitutional, the decision shall not affect the validity of Section 5981, 5983, or 5984, and the Legislature hereby declares that the persons mentioned in this section shall be subject to the provisions of Section 5981, 5983, and 5984.
