Financial Code section 326
(b)
In addition to the authority under subdivision (a), the commissioner may bring a civil action or other appropriate proceeding, pursuant to Section 5552 of Title 12 of the United States Code, to enforce the provisions of the Consumer Financial Protection Act of 2010 (12 U.S.C. Sec. 5481 et seq.), or regulations issued by the federal Consumer Financial Protection Bureau thereunder, with respect to an entity that is licensed, registered, or subject to oversight by the commissioner, and to secure remedies under provisions of the Consumer Financial Protection Act of 2010.(c)
Nothing in this section shall be construed to expand upon or limit the authority granted by Section 5552 of Title 12 of the United States Code (Section 1042 of Subtitle D of Title X of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act).
