Education Code section 85302

When the warrant is presented to the county treasurer for payment, he or she shall endorse, register, advertise, and pay it, with interest at the rate of 5 percent per annum, in the manner prescribed, as nearly as may be, for county warrants in Section 29821 to 29824, inclusive, and Section 29826 and 29827 of the Government Code.
