Education Code section 84750.8

Beginning in the 2026–27 fiscal year, of the amount appropriated in Schedule (1) of Item 6870-101-0001 of Section 2.00 of the Budget Act for each fiscal year, the sum of one hundred fifty-nine million seven hundred forty-one thousand dollars ($159,741,000) shall be allocated to adjust apportionments to community college districts calculated pursuant to Section 84750.4 and 84750.5. The amount specified in this section is in addition to the cost-of-living adjustment required pursuant to Section 84750.4 and 84750.5. Of this amount, thirteen million three hundred thousand dollars ($13,300,000) is provided specifically for adjustments for community college districts funded at the hold harmless funding level pursuant to subparagraph (B) of paragraph (3) of subdivision (h) of Section 84750.4. Any remaining funds after the adjustment is made shall be available for allocation to all other community college districts. Community college districts incurring costs related to providing employees with up to 14 weeks of paid pregnancy disability leave pursuant to Section 87766 and 88193 shall use the funds allocated pursuant to this section to reimburse these costs.
