Education Code section 24117

(a)

A member retired for disability under this part may terminate the disability retirement allowance upon written request to the system.

(b)

If a member retired for disability under this part is determined by the board to no longer be eligible to receive a disability retirement allowance pursuant to this chapter, the disability retirement allowance shall be terminated.
