CA Welf & Inst Code Section 4383


(a)

For the 1991–92 and 1992–93 fiscal years, a local schoolsite may be awarded funding from the director pursuant to this part and from the Superintendent of Public Instruction pursuant to the Healthy Start Support Services for Children Act of 1991 (Chapter 5 (commencing with Section 8800) of Part 6 of the Education Code) if both of the following criteria are met:

(1)

The application to the director for funding under this part delineates how the program will coordinate and interface with, and is not duplicative of, the program proposed for funding under the Healthy Start Support Services for Children Act of 1991.

(2)

The application to the Superintendent of Public Instruction for funding under the Healthy Start Support Services for Children Act of 1991 delineates how the program will coordinate and interface with, and is not duplicative of, this part.

(b)

Up to 20 percent of the schoolsites which receive operational grants from the Healthy Start Support Services for Children program and which apply for grants under this part may receive these grants. The State Department of Mental Health and the State Department of Education shall jointly review the effectiveness of providing both grants to a single schoolsite and make this information available no later than January 1, 1993.
