Prior to certification of a transitional housing placement provider by a county, the department shall approve a plan submitted by the county’s independent living program that includes assurances that the independent living program shall participate actively in the screening of candidates for this program and shall assist the licensed agency in the supervision of clients participating in the
program.
This section does not apply to nonminor dependents, as defined in subdivision (v) of Section 11400.
