(a)
Members of the district board may be reimbursed for their actual and necessary expenses incurred in the performance of official business of the district as approved by the district board.
(b)
Members of the district board may also receive not more than fifty dollars ($50) per diem for each day of actual attendance at the meetings of the board, with the per diem to be established by order of the board and entered upon its minutes. No member of the district board shall, however, receive more than one hundred dollars ($100) per diem in any calendar month.
(c)
In addition to any other compensation received pursuant to this section, the chairperson of the district board and the secretary of the district board, if the secretary is a member of the district board, shall each receive monthly compensation as established by the district board.
