CA Prob Code Section 1216

(a)

If a notice or other paper is required or permitted to be mailed to a person, it may be delivered personally to that person. Personal delivery as provided in this section satisfies a provision that requires or permits a notice or other paper to be mailed.

(b)

Personal delivery pursuant to this section is complete when the notice or other paper is delivered personally to the person who is to receive it.
