Education Code section 41900

The Superintendent of Public Instruction shall allow to each school district maintaining a high school or high schools, county superintendent of schools, the Department of the Youth Authority, and the State Department of Education an amount equal to the actual cost, but not in excess of ninety-seven dollars ($97) per pupil instructed in the laboratory phase of driver education in accordance with Section 41902 and 41905 and with regulations set forth by the State Board of Education to the districts, county superintendents of schools, the Department of the Youth Authority, and the State Department of Education for instructing pupils in the laboratory phase of driver education.
