(a)
A course in barbering established by a school shall consist of not less than 1,500 hours of practical training and technical instruction in the practice of barbering as defined in Section 7316.(b)
A course in cosmetology established by a school shall consist of not less than 1,600 hours of practical training and technical instruction in the practice of cosmetology as defined in Section 7316, except as provided in this chapter.
