CA Bus & Prof Code Section 19341

The State Department of Public Health shall promulgate regulations governing the licensing of manufacturers. The State Department of Public Health shall develop standards for the manufacturing and labeling of all manufactured medical cannabis products. Licenses to be issued are as follows:

(a)

“Manufacturing level 1,” for manufacturing sites that produce medical cannabis products using nonvolatile solvents.

(b)

“Manufacturing level 2,” for manufacturing sites that produce medical cannabis products using volatile solvents. The State Department of Public Health shall limit the number of licenses of this type.
