Business and Professions Code section 18734

(a)

The commission shall designate the scoring officials for each contest.

(b)

The referee may render a decision at the end of a boxing contest if authorized by a representative of the commission.

(c)

The commission may require that judges be used in conjunction with the referee at any boxing contest.
