Business and Professions Code section 154.2

(a)

The healing arts boards within Division 2 (commencing with Section 500) may employ individuals, other than peace officers, to perform investigative services.

(b)

The healing arts boards within Division 2 (commencing with Section 500) may employ individuals to serve as experts.
