CA Welf & Inst Code Section 14706

(a)

The department shall have responsibility for conducting investigations and audits of claims and reimbursements for expenditures for specialty mental health services provided by mental health plans to Medi-Cal eligible individuals.

(b)

The amount of the payment or repayment of federal funds in accordance with audit findings pertaining to Medi-Cal specialty mental health services shall be determined by the department pursuant to the existing administrative appeals process of the department.
