Health and Safety Code section 13113.5

The State Fire Marshal shall adopt regulations requiring the installation of automatic fire devices activated by products of combustion other than heat in all facilities within the scope of Section 13143 and 13143.6, which provide 24-hour per day care, which house six or fewer persons, and which do not have automatic sprinkler systems.
