CA Gov't Code Section 56031


(a)

“Contiguous” means territory adjacent to territory within the local agency.

(b)

Territory is not contiguous if the only contiguity is based upon a strip of land more than 300 feet long and less than 200 feet wide at its narrowest width, that width to be exclusive of highways.
