CA Gov't Code Section 15849.65


(a)

Notwithstanding any provision of this part to the contrary, when a public building for the University of California is authorized, in full or in part, to be financed under this part, the board may issue bonds, notes, or other obligations to reimburse any debt service related to obligations issued or entered into by the Regents of the University of California as interim financing for the public building. In addition to the amount authorized by the Legislature for a public building for the University of California, the board may authorize an additional amount to pay related interest and issuance costs associated with the obligations issued or entered into by the Regents of the University of California.

(b)

This section shall be applicable to, but not limited to, bonds, notes, or obligations of the board that were authorized by appropriations of the Legislature made prior to the effective date of this section.

(c)

This section shall become inoperative on July 1, 2017, and, as of January 1, 2018, is repealed, unless a later enacted statute, that becomes operative on or before January 1, 2018, deletes or extends the dates on which it becomes inoperative and is repealed.
