CA Food & Agric Code Section 79815


(a)

“Districts” consist of the following:

(1)

District 1 consists of the Counties of Butte, Del Norte, Glenn, Humboldt, Lassen, Modoc, Plumas, Shasta, Siskiyou, Tehama, and Trinity.

(2)

District 2 consists of the Counties of Amador, Colusa, El Dorado, Lake, Marin, Mendocino, Napa, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, Sierra, Solano, Sonoma, Sutter, Yolo, and Yuba.

(3)

District 3 consists of the Counties of Alameda, Calaveras, Contra Costa, Fresno, Imperial, Inyo, Kern, Kings, Los Angeles, Madera, Mariposa, Merced, Mono, Monterey, Orange, Riverside, San Benito, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Luis Obispo, San Mateo, Santa Barbara, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Stanislaus, Tulare, Tuolumne, and Ventura.

(b)

The commission board of directors shall periodically determine whether the olive oil acreage in any of the districts varies by more than 20 percent from the olive oil acreage in other districts and draw new district lines in the event a variance exists. This action shall be approved by a two-thirds vote of the commission board of directors.

(c)

The boundaries of a district may be changed and districts may be added or eliminated by a two-thirds vote of the commission board of directors, which is concurred in by the secretary, if notice is provided to all persons subject to this chapter prior to the action. The boundaries need not coincide with county lines.
