If the owner fails or neglects to direct the disposition of the screenings or cleanings within 10 days after the notice has been transmitted to him, the person in possession of the screenings or cleanings, at his option, may do one of the following:
(a)
Cause the screenings or cleanings to be processed and return to the owner the value of the screenings or cleanings less the cost of handling.
(b)
Destroy the screenings or cleanings. He is not liable to the owner for the destruction of such screenings or cleanings.
The legislature occasionally skips outline levels.
For example:
(3) A person may apply [...]
(4)(a) A person petitioning for relief [...]
In this example, (3), (4),
and (4)(a) are all outline levels, but
(4) was
omitted by its authors. It's only implied. This presents an
interesting challenge when laying out the text. We've
decided to display a blank section with this note, in order
to aide readability.
