CA Educ Code Section 52302.5


A regional occupational center or regional occupational program shall do all of the following:

(a)

Provide individual counseling and guidance in career technical matters.

(b)

Provide a curriculum that includes a sequence of academic and skill instruction in specific occupational fields leading to an approved skill certificate and vocational degree, apprenticeship, or postsecondary certificate program pursuant to paragraph (2) of subdivision (b) of Section 52302, or provide an opportunity for pupils to acquire entry-level career technical skills.

(c)

Maintain a pupil-teacher ratio which will enable pupils to achieve optimum benefits from the instructional program.

(d)

Assign the highest priority in services to youth from the age of 16 to 18 years, inclusive.
